Two new protectorates, Central and Lichthalzen, have been announced by the Ministry of Interior. The Minister, Sir. Fish, said that the Lichthalzen protectorate was one of the “more ambitious” projects that A1 has undertaken, but that he held “high hopes” for its success.
‘Central’ is “purely to reduce confusion”, with reference to the confusion caused between referring to ‘A1′ as an entire micronation, as opposed to the original territory itself.
‘Lichthalzen’, on the other hand, is the first protectorate to have a small separate government, with current Under-Secretary for the Ministry of Culture, Mars McTavish, heading the government as Governor of the new protectorate. However, Central has not had a governor appointed, due to “it being unnecessary”, according to the Minister.
